Sr. RF Systems Analysis Engineer, Regulatory (Starlink)
Skills
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++ or equivalent modeling tools
- RF link budget analysis and antenna theory
- Interference analysis and spectrum coordination
- Modeling large non-geostationary satellite constellations
- Satellite network simulation development and analysis
- Familiarity with Visualyse and/or similar RF analysis tools
- Basic understanding of satellite hardware and orbital mechanics
- Ability to communicate technical results to regulatory and business stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Perform technical analyses of radio frequency interference and satellite spectrum coordination
- Model Starlink and other non-geostationary satellite operational topology and hardware
- Develop and run simulations across scenarios considering regulatory/geographic constraints, RF link budgets, constellation and customer growth, and coordination strategies
- Interpret simulation results to assess network and user experience impacts and recommend policy/coordination approaches
- Provide strategic technical support and advocacy to regulatory, legal, and business development teams
Education
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline (required)
- Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering with RF/microwave or communications emphasis (preferred)
