- Hands-on familiarity with PCBs, laminates, and microelectronics fabrication
- Understanding of supplier quality processes (PPAP, APQP) and quality systems (ISO/AS9100/NADCAP)
- Statistical methods knowledge (SPC, DOE, Six Sigma)
- Root-cause analysis experience (8D, RCCA)
- Strong cross-functional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (25-60%)
Responsibilities
- Own continuity of supply for PCBs and related components for the Starshield program
- Collaborate with design, R&D, reliability, procurement, and production teams to manage suppliers
- Source, audit, qualify, and onboard new PCB suppliers and subcontractors
- Develop and implement supplier technical requirements and quality flow-downs
- Manage PPAP and other production part approval activities to enable rate production
- Monitor supplier qualification, reliability testing, process controls, and SPC
- Lead supplier root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement plans
- Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify trends and drive improvements
- Recommend design or process changes to reduce risk, costs, and defect opportunities
- Present project status, reports, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and suppliers
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering, business, or supply chain (preferred)
