Working across the entire model stack, we integrate cutting-edge hardware and software to explore a broad range of robotic form factors. We strive to seamlessly blend high-level AI capabilities with the constraints of physical systems to improve peoples’ lives.

About the Role

We are looking for a junior- to mid-level electrical engineer to join a small team of experienced roboticists to design, build, bring up, and ship a wide range of electronics. Our current team has experience working with students and new graduates and is looking to take on an apprentice. You will be paired up with an experienced industry veteran and taught how to be a strong electrical designer and systems thinker.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA, and requires in-person 4 days a week.

In this role, you will:

• Pair up with an experienced engineer to design a wide range of infrastructure, end-product components, and assembled systems.

• Get hardware fabricated and do bring-up and validation in-house.

• Find and hire outside labs, contractors, or other vendors to handle specialized tasks outside of the internal skillset.

• Debug device and system level issues that arise during integration.

• Work with embedded software engineers to breathe life into your devices.

• Have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in electronics design

• Enjoy taking on challenges just outside your comfort zone

• Are open to learning from others and integrating into a team

• Show resilience and persistence, with a willingness to improve through iteration

• Communicate clearly and comfortably, especially when asking questions

(Bonus) Know or are willing to learn embedded C, C++, and Rust
