Responsibilities
- Take extreme ownership of avionics hardware across concept, design, test, production, and flight
- Drive mechanical part and assembly drawing changes to improve reliability and manufacturability
- Perform root cause investigations, simulations, and analysis to characterize performance limits and mitigate risk
- Design and validate high-reliability hardware for launch and space environments
- Develop and integrate sensors and avionics packages for physical sensors and electrical components
- Create 3D models, production 2D drawings, and tolerance analyses
- Design test setups and execute benchtop and environmental validation testing
- Collaborate with electrical systems, test, and manufacturing teams for integration and long-term reliability
- Derive engineering justification to resolve production and vehicle integration issues
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering (preferred)
