Skills
- System-level design, integration, and testing of electro-mechanical systems
- Hands-on analog electronic assembly, activation, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with mixed-signal electronics, power supply design, filtering, layout, and grounding
- Design and troubleshooting of data acquisition and control hardware
- Schematic capture and PCB design/verification experience
- Familiarity with Python, C++, LabVIEW, or other scripting/programming languages
- Data review and basic statistical methods for evaluating system performance
- Experience with instrumentation and hazardous-area control system installations
- Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Maintain operational capability of control voltage (<60V) electrical systems
- Develop and upgrade data acquisition (DAQ) and control systems
- Design and implement new automation systems for avionics and engine testing
- Provide technical support and guidance to controls technicians and non-controls engineering teams
- Develop hardware and processes to improve capability, cost, and setup time for non-vehicle electrical systems
- Analyze electrical system data to assess performance and reliability
- Assist in experimental design and test article evaluation
- Perform required physical and site-specific duties to ensure safe, efficient operations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, or computer engineering
