Responsibilities
- Own hardware from conceptual design through production and operational support
- Design factory layouts and processes for rapid, low-cost manufacturing of vacuum technology
- Develop, characterize, and qualify new materials and processing methods
- Iterate on designs with analysis and test to inform system-level tradeoffs
- Define design criteria and collaborate on requirements to optimize system performance
- Establish product lifecycle and supply chain processes through final integration
- Perform environmental and performance testing to validate designs and compliance
- Collaborate with partner teams to create novel manufacturing and assembly procedures
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a STEM discipline (required)
- Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline (preferred)
