- Electronics manufacturing experience: PCBs, IC packaging, semiconductor processes
- Polymer material expertise: elastomers, thermoplastics, thermosets, adhesives and coatings
- Characterization and analytical techniques (SEM/EDS, DMA, DSC, TGA, FTIR, XPS)
- Electrical/material testing experience (IV, CV, dielectric measurements)
- Polymer processing skills: injection molding, compression molding, dispensing, screen printing
- Reliability methods: FMEA, DoE, accelerated aging and statistical analysis
- Familiarity with environmental and industry standards (RoHS, REACH, IPC, JEDEC, UL)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier qualifications
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize business needs where polymer/electronics materials expertise will improve device design, manufacturability and reliability
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop supply chain strategies and internal capabilities for electronic materials and components
- Develop and execute program initiatives to meet technical, schedule, and cost targets for terminals, gateways, IC packages and PCBs
- Collaborate with engineers, SMEs, and technicians to solve material and process challenges across design, testing, and production
- Design and oversee characterization, reliability, and qualification test plans including accelerated aging and failure analysis
- Transfer validated materials and processes into production partners and support scale-up and quality control
Education
- Bachelor's in materials science, polymer science, chemistry, or chemical engineering (required)
- Master's or PhD in materials science, polymer science, chemistry or chemical engineering (preferred)
