- Production scheduling and planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- ERP/MRP systems proficiency and SQL querying for shortage analysis
- Strong Excel skills with VBA or automation experience
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, Power BI, Confluence, and JIRA
- Capacity analysis and constraint management
- Cross-functional leadership and supplier relationship management
- Continuous improvement and problem-solving frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Production Schedulers to create and maintain rate-based schedules for Starship builds across multiple missions.
- Develop prioritized work orders and scheduling scenarios to align hardware allocation with customer needs, mission manifests, and quality requirements.
- Perform capacity analyses at the work-center level to identify and mitigate near-term and future schedule risks.
- Monitor MRP/ERP systems using SQL to identify part shortages and coordinate resolution with production and supply chain teams.
- Partner with internal suppliers and shared-resource owners to negotiate priorities and execute daily/weekly production goals.
- Drive development and rollout of scheduling tools, automation, and Factory Scheduler implementations to reduce manual work.
- Lead root-cause investigations and permanent corrective actions for production issues to eliminate blockers and ensure on-time delivery.
- Establish and report key metrics, promote continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen), and prepare weekly status reports for leadership.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, mechanical engineering, business, or related field (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (APICS, PMP) are a plus
