Responsibilities
- Lead hardware development from system architecture through design, analysis, manufacturing, integration, activation, and operations for tower and launch mount systems
- Design and own mechanisms, actuation systems, fluid/hydraulic/cryogenic systems, and large welded structures
- Perform structural, dynamic, thermal, and fluid analyses to derive requirements and optimize designs
- Work with software and operations teams to develop robust, fault-tolerant concepts of operations for launch mount systems
- Collaborate with Starship/Super Heavy vehicle engineers to ensure system-level compatibility and mission success
- Support hands-on assembly, activation, and on-pad operations, including troubleshooting during iterations
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (required)
- Master's degree in engineering or related field (preferred)
