Responsibilities
- Develop clean-sheet structural design concepts and size vehicle structures for flight loads
- Create detailed CAD models and assemblies in NX for components and vehicle integration
- Build finite element models and perform structural analysis to validate designs
- Perform first-order hand calculations and trade studies to iterate designs rapidly
- Design, build, and test development articles and structural subassemblies
- Partner with build engineers and technicians to refine designs for manufacturability
- Support assembly and witness hardware integration and testing in the factory
- Collaborate cross-functionally to balance mass, cost, and capability across vehicle systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (required)
- Relevant coursework or projects in structures, materials, and mechanics
