Our co-founders are Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.
Help define our sales motion: You will be the founding member of this team, and your work will directly impact how our GTM function operates and succeeds.
Prospecting & lead generation: Identify and target potential customers through research, networking, and cold calling. Build new relationships with our enterprise customers and prospects to drive revenue, pipeline, and deployment capacity.
Lead qualification: Assess leads to ensure alignment through discovery calls, as well as further increase interest and engagement in Sierra’s product offering.
Deliver the pitch: Craft tailored sales presentations that meet our ENT customers’ needs.
Manage relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders with our ENT customers. Serve as their primary point of contact up until hand-off to our ENT AEs.
Collaboration: Work closely with our Sales team to align on strategies, campaigns, and key insights. Collaborate with Account Executives to ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads.
3-6 years experience in a customer-facing sales role, identifying and closing Mid-Market and ENT accounts.
Mid-Market & ENT experience: Experience managing a $250k+ annual quota, and running end-to-end complex deals.
Strong communication skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Analytical mindset: Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
Prospecting & lead generation: Proven track record of identifying and targeting potential enterprise clients through research, networking, and cold calling.
Communication & Relationship Building: Past experience building rapport with internal sales teams and external partners. Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of audience.
Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities. Past experience overcoming obstacles and utilizing creative outreach strategies to effectively increase engagement.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the AI landscape, key players, and emerging trends.
Experience building GTM strategies: Building sales teams and sales motions from scratch, or from early stage growth.
