In this role, you will be responsible for...
Case Creation & Research:
Create and track cases for customer complaints and inquiries.
Research property details, permits, zoning, ownership, and contractor information.
Support Special Magistrate hearings and prepare related documents.
Compile case files and respond to public records requests.
Customer Service & Public Support:
Provide helpful county information by phone, email, and in person.
Receive and route complaints while documenting accurate, detailed notes.
Guide property owners, tenants, and contractors through violations, permits, citations, and hearings.
Assist with scheduling file reviews and answering payment or payoff questions.
Liens, Abatements & Payment Processing:
Prepare, record, and process liens, releases, and satisfactions.
Research and prepare lien verification for lenders, title companies, attorneys, and residents.
Process lien and assessment payments and assist with payoff requests.
Support billing and documentation for lot mowing and debris-removal abatements.
Reporting & Team Collaboration:
Assist with basic financial and statistical reporting.
Cross-train with team members and support Code Enforcement operations across locations as needed.
Work Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (no weekends!)

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
High School Diploma or GED with 2 – 5 years of administrative and computer experience.
OR: One year of college may substitute for one year of work experience.
The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

Proficient with computers, office equipment, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
Skilled in using electronic filing systems, databases, and internet/intranet searches.
Strong accounting and financial analysis abilities.
Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to respond promptly and handle sensitive issues.
Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or up to 10 lbs.
Starting Pay Range: $21.85 - $22.50, based on experience.
