Responsibilities
- Own the system technical baseline across systems engineering, hardware, software, and test to ensure requirements are met and mission value delivered
- Chair and lead program gate reviews from SRR through TRR, evaluating design maturity, readiness, and risk
- Define and direct system architectures spanning payloads, ground systems, and mission operations
- Oversee engineering execution to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives, including subcontractor oversight
- Maintain and manage program risk register; proactively mitigate risks and capture opportunities
- Act as primary technical interface with government customers, subcontractors, and leadership
- Advance engineering excellence by enforcing standards, MBSE adoption, and digital engineering practices
- Contribute to proposals, technical volumes, and customer-facing reviews; mentor and develop engineering staff
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline (required)
- Advanced degree in aerospace, systems engineering, physics, or related field (preferred)
