Responsibilities
- Support business development with proposals and mission concept development
- Conceptualize and develop high-performance, lightweight satellite systems, mechanisms and bus configurations
- Own component designs from concept through production, testing, and operation
- Perform hand calculations and FEA to inform design decisions
- Lead design, manufacturing, and test reviews for key components
- Create and maintain CAD models, production drawings, and test/operations procedures
- Manage development schedules, vendor interactions, budgets and project deliverables
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical discipline (required)
- Master's or PhD in aerospace or mechanical engineering (preferred)
