Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance, lightweight satellite systems, mechanisms, and bus configurations
- Support business development with proposals and mission concepts
- Own component design from concept through production, test, and operation
- Perform hand calculations and FEA to inform design decisions
- Create and maintain CAD models, production drawings, and test/operations procedures
- Lead design, manufacturing, and test reviews for key components
- Manage development schedules, vendors, budgets and project deliverables
- Develop concepts for high-value science and interplanetary missions
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering (required)
- Master’s or PhD in mechanical or aerospace engineering (preferred)
