About the Role
As the Accounting & Operations Associate at Revv, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Accounting & Operations function(s) and be a critical contributor to month-end close, accounts receivable/collections, and accounts payable management. You will help drive efficiency through accounting practices, while assisting in improving and documenting accounting, finance, and operational processes.
You will report to the Controller, and collaborate with the Controller and Accounting & Operations Manager on a wide variety of operational, accounting, and financial reporting tasks to meet the needs of the organization. You will also get exposure to working with the VP of Finance and the People Operations department and leadership.
This is an excellent role for someone with 1–2 years of accounting experience who is eager to broaden their scope across accounting, finance, and operations in a fast-growing environment. The position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with other departments while developing hands-on experience in both technical accounting and process automation. This is a generalist role with top priorities upon joining being month-close, AR/AP. However, as an earlier member of the team, you will also have the unique opportunity to self-advocate to work on, specialize in, and lead processes you are passionate about as you develop your skillset and the team scales and evolves through automation.
Responsibilities
Month-End Close
Act as the Manager’s #2 in the close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and workpapers.
Clearly communicate status and track close tasks to completion.
Support the Controller and Manager in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting.
Accounts Payable & Expense Management
Utilize Ramp to process vendor invoices, reimbursements, and credit card expenses.
Support automation in the AP function by continuing to optimize Ramp.
Ensure compliance with approval workflows and internal policies.
Accounts Receivable & Order-to-Cash
Partner with Customer Success to improve order-to-cash operations in Stripe while promoting internal controls.
In collaboration with the Customer Success team and supported by the Manager, monitor receivables, perform collections follow-up, and reconcile customer accounts utilizing a collections automation software, Upflow.
Partner with Revenue Operations and the Controller to refresh the Stripe product catalog for Pricing and Packaging updates.
Proactively raise inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement to the Controller and Manager.
Policy & Controls Support
Assist in drafting accounting policies, narratives, and process documentation.
Help establish the foundation of Revv’s internal control environment by identifying and raising perceived gaps in control to the Controller and Manager.
Support the Controller and Manager in preparing materials for auditors, tax advisors, and investors.
Systems & Process Improvements
Contribute to the scaling of Revv’s billing (Stripe), ERP (Rillet), collections management (Upflow), and expense management (Ramp) SaaS tooling.
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in accounting processes.
Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline reporting and operational workflows.
Team Collaboration
Act as a proactive team player, demonstrating genuine interest in Revv’s financial success.
Offer innovative solutions to improve reporting and business processes.
Collaborate cross-team with other departments such as People Operations on payroll and insurance related items.
Qualifications
Professional Experience
Minimum of 1–2 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to month-end close, AP, and AR.
Experience preparing and maintaining accounting workpapers and reconciliations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Additional 3+ years of experience and certifications may substitute for education.
Solid understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting; exposure to ASC 606 and order-to-cash processes is a plus.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate deadlines and status updates.
Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn from the team.
Comfortable balancing hands-on transactional tasks (e.g., drafting journal entries) while supporting automation and process improvements.
Proficiency with accounting software and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Nice to Have
Exposure to SaaS finance tools (Stripe, Ramp, Rippling, Upflow, ERP systems), with confidence to act autonomously on lower-value transactions once ramped.
Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment and/or Public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm).

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
