Skills
- Experience with RF and telemetry test methods and measurement equipment
- Design and fabrication of test harnesses, fixtures, and auxiliary test hardware
- Writing and executing formal test plans and procedures for avionics systems
- Integration and commissioning of rack-mounted test systems and DAQ
- Familiarity with regulatory test requirements (FCC, ITU, USSF) and supporting documentation
Responsibilities
- Develop qualification and acceptance test frameworks for RF and telemetry avionics components
- Design simulation circuits, auxiliary test equipment, test harnesses, mechanical fixtures/enclosures, and validation tools
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to derive test requirements and methodologies
- Create and maintain test plans and procedures supporting regulatory/licensing activities (FCC, ITU, USSF)
- Integrate, commission, and operate test rack hardware and software for component- and system-level functional testing
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field (typical)
- Advanced degree advantageous but not required
