- Extensive experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and thermal problems
- Proven capability in fatigue and fracture mechanics analyses
- Experience supporting spaceflight programs and hardware qualification
- Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Hands-on test development and data reduction experience
Responsibilities
- Perform thermal, structural, dynamic, and fatigue/fracture analyses for turbomachinery components and assemblies
- Evaluate 3D-printed components and complex mechanical assemblies for flightworthiness
- Troubleshoot and investigate complex turbomachinery system interactions and failure modes
- Collaborate closely with mechanical designers and manufacturing engineers to develop manufacturable, reliable designs
- Develop and execute development and qualification tests, including test integration, instrumentation, and data processing
- Coach and develop junior and mid-level analysts, establishing best practices and review processes
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical field (required)
- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline preferred
