I was hire until HR realized I’m trans

I got a job offer for a healthcare role I was perfect for two interviews, both went great. The hiring manager gave me a tour and said I was a shoo-in.

Then HR pulled some weird stuff first said I was rejected, then said congrats I was selected.

They asked for references. I gave them five people who love me. The only issue? Some of them used “he” or “they” when talking about me. That’s it. The next day, HR withdrew the offer with no explanation other than “unfavorable references.”

I’m trans, and they didn’t like that.
