After my first office job, I purposefully got a remote job because of how much I did NOT like the drive/traffic. If commuting were easier, it would be a non-issue to return to the office, but we all know that the majority of areas around where we live don't support this. Just not having that stress in my life was enough to deal with the cons of remote work so I'm definitely right there with you!
This is quite apt. I like been in the office, having banters with colleagues etc but WFH unlocked a different level of calm with no traffic or the rush that comes with commuting.
this is why hybrid exists. 2–3 days in office max is the sweet spot. keeps the balance without losing the team vibe.
idk, some of us like the structure of going in. wfh made me feel isolated + lazy tbh. different strokes 🤷
Completely agree. Remote is balance. The trade-off of commuting every day is insane once you’ve lived without it.
You put this into words perfectly. It’s not about being scared of offices, it’s about losing peace of mind.
same. ppl think remote = lazy but it literally gave me my health back. no amount of “culture” is worth traffic headaches.

Working from home gave me something I didn’t expect: balance. Time to breathe, to be present, to not start or end every day in traffic. I’m not anti-office. I just don’t want to lose the calm I’ve worked so hard to build. Remote work isn’t perfect, but it gave me life back. And that’s not something I can trade lightly.
