I got screened by an AI bot today

I applied for this job where I am a 90%+ match (according to the job site). Within 10 minutes I get a call. "Hello, I'm Riley, a virtual recruiter (...) do you have 5-7 minutes for a quick interview?"

Since I never suffered one before, I say "OK...", just to see what it's like. Bot's first question: "What was the last project you worked on?".

I'm at Director level. In my industry, you always work on 10+ projects at the same time, with all-kinds of cross-teams and external clients. So I instinctively ask: "Can you clarify? Can you be more specific?"

Bot's answer after some awkward seconds of silence: "Awesome!!".

It then proceeds to ask another stupid question which I barely listen to and I go: "Thanks. If I can't speak to a human being, I'm not interested in this position. Bye" and I hang up. I then get 4 text messages and a voice mail asking me to talk to the AI bot.

Afraid that's not happening, "Riley"
