Accounting Clerk
Description
The Accounting Clerk supports the company's financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records and performing routine bookkeeping tasks for four companies. This includes data entry, invoice processing, payment handling, and account reconciliation.
- Process daily convenient store paperwork with data entry and reconciliation.
- Manage data entry for accounts payable records.
- Process bank deposits.
- Process fuel invoices, assign and reconcile batch totals.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive individual, vendor, customer and organization data without exception.
- Acts upon critical issues immediately within position’s authority and / or asks for assistance / decision-making from senior management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Education
- High school graduation or equivalent, required.
- Associate Degree in Accounting or Business-related field, preferred
Experience
- One to two years’ experience in an office environment, preferred.
- Basic Microsoft Excel experience required.
Skills and Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Good people and customer interaction skills.
- Demonstrated attentiveness to details, mathematical analytical ability. Use of calculator.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a high pressure and demanding environment.
- Ability to multi-task, i.e., pick up where left off when interrupted.
- Good organizational skills.
