- Pre-sales technical leadership experience supporting enterprise accounts
- Deep knowledge of storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
- Experience with Linux, NFS and distributed storage environments
- Solid networking fundamentals (Ethernet, TCP/IP, VMware)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures
- Experience with web and scale-out architectures, microservices and automation
- Strong presentation, demo and written communication skills
- Experience creating technical content and engaging in thought leadership
Responsibilities
- Act as a role model and mentor for other Systems Engineers
- Provide technical leadership and partner with SEMs, account teams and channel partners
- Develop deep understanding of customer business drivers and translate them into technical solutions
- Create and share social media and thought-leadership content (blogs, posts, whitepapers)
- Map Pure Storage and ecosystem technologies to measurable customer outcomes
- Deliver presentations, solution demonstrations, EBCs and technical workshops
- Capture requirements and design scalable storage and infrastructure solutions
- Lead or contribute to RFP, RFQ and RFI responses
- Drive interoperability, functional and performance testing/validation
- Maintain competitive knowledge and align messaging with product/marketing
- Perform complex POC and TCO calculations and act as solution expert
Education
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other technical degree, or equivalent experience
- Relevant technical certifications or continuous learning in storage/cloud technologies preferred
