Marketing Operations Manager

Profound is on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. We’re creating a new category at the intersection of AI, search, and brand visibility, and we’re building both the platform and the story behind it. As our Marketing Operations Manager, you’ll thread together strategy, systems, and analytics so our marketing engine runs smoothly and scales fast.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain the marketing operations architecture, CRMs, marketing automation platforms, analytics dashboards, lead-scoring workflows, attribution models so our campaigns and performance are measurable, repeatable, and efficient.

  • Own campaign execution processes: develop and implement implementation checklists, QA frameworks, and post-campaign analysis that feed back into better performance.

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Data teams to ensure clean data flows, consistent definitions (leads, MQLs, SQLs), and seamless handoffs between marketing and sales.

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that surface campaign performance, funnel conversion health, channel ROI, and pipeline attribution, enable marketing leadership and teams to make informed decisions.

  • Drive lead lifecycle strategy: from lead capture to handoff to sales, including list segmentation, nurture stream mapping, lead scoring/timing logic, and re-engagement streams.

  • Own and architect the marketing tech stack across email nurture, lead scoring, webinar platform, event management, A/B/n testing, site chat, and more.

  • Lead operational improvements, identify bottlenecks, streamline tool stack, document processes, and scale marketing operations as we grow.

  • Be the subject-matter expert on our marketing tech stack: stay current on best practices, recommend new tools when needed, and train the broader team in usage and adoption.

Who You Are

  • A structured, detail-oriented thinker with strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate operations and systems issues in clear business terms.

  • You’ve previously built marketing operations functions (or significantly scaled one) in a B2B SaaS environment. You know how to set up marketing automation, lead scoring, attribution models, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and campaign analytics.

  • You’re deeply curious about data and performance: you love making dashboards, slicing and dicing funnel metrics, and driving insights that change how teams work.

  • You’re comfortable moving fast, iterating quickly, and refining processes as you learn. You thrive in startup environments where operations are being built in real time.

  • You’re collaborative and cross-functional: you’ll be working with marketers, product folks, sales teams, and engineers alike.

  • Bonus: experience in AI or martech, or working in a category-creation stage company.

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, the expected base salary range is $120,000 – $160,000. Profound’s total compensation package includes base salary, equity, and a full suite of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Our recruiting team will share full details of the package as you progress through the hiring process.
