E-Learning Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

As E-Learning Specialist I, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of digital training materials under supervision. This role contributes to the success of the company wide training strategy by assisting in the creation and maintenance of basic eLearning content that supports both internal and customer-facing teams.

The E-Learning Specialist I works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), the Learning and Development team, and other stakeholders to gather content, support logistics, and ensure learning materials meet company standards. This role provides a foundation for growth in instructional design and digital learning development while gaining experience and exposure to cross functional collaboration.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but offers support across multiple departments to foster a learning focused culture.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with converting in-person training into basic e-Learning modules with direction.
  • Help maintain the accuracy of training materials and content within the learning management system (LMS).
  • Edit and format instructional documents, training videos and slide decks.
  • Support the Learning and Development team with training logistics, coordination and tracking.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and content for training material development.
  • Learn and begin applying foundational instructional design principles in training materials.
  • Participate in needs assessments and feedback collection under supervision.
  • Support the tracking of participation and training data and contribute to reports on training metrics.
  • Assist with updates to existing training to ensure accuracy and alignment with internal processes.
  • Provide administrative support for scheduling and coordination of eLearning assignments.
  • Contribute to team efforts in building a library of content.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all employees.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of the Learning and Development team goals.

Development Focus:

  • Build confidence in using eLearning development tools.
  • Strengthen understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Increase exposure to cross-functional departments.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Trainer Certification from Association for Talend Development (ATD) preferred but not required. 
  • 0-2 years' experience in training, instructional design, or eLearning development.  
  • Basic proficiency in an LMS (e.g. Seismic) and authoring tools.  
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow directions from leadership. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with supervision.  
  • Desire to develop skills in eLearning development and training facilitation.  
  • Customer service-oriented mindset and willingness to support others in a learning environment.   
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Interest in learning instructional design tools and adult learning principles.  
  • Experience in the Supplement or Nutraceutical industry is strongly preferred. 

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free office and manufacturing environment
