Position Summary

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Raiz Community Organizer to lead our Latinx-centered organizing program. This role is ideal for someone with deep roots in the Latinx community, a strong commitment to equity and justice, and a drive to empower communities of color through advocacy, education, and grassroots action.

As the Raiz Organizer, you’ll work directly with Latinx and BIPOC communities across Massachusetts to eliminate barriers to sexual and reproductive health care, build lasting partnerships, and mobilize people around the issues that matter most.

• Build and sustain relationships with Latinx and BIPOC-led organizations and community leaders.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers and leaders to take action on reproductive justice issues.
• Organize events, trainings, and advocacy actions that reflect the voices and needs of the community.
• Support college campus chapters and youth-led initiatives in partnership with our GenAction Organizer.
• Represent PPAF/PPLM at community events, health fairs, and coalition spaces.

• Identify and support local champions for reproductive justice in elected office.
• Lead electoral campaigns for PPAF-endorsed candidates.
• Create inclusive spaces for political engagement among historically marginalized communities.

• 2+ years of experience in community organizing, youth work, or political campaigns.
• Fluent in Spanish and culturally competent in Latinx community engagement.
• Deep understanding of racial equity, intersectionality, and community empowerment.
• Strong public speaking and facilitation skills.
• Experience working with diverse communities, including LGBTQ+, immigrant, and disabled communities.
• Access to reliable transportation and flexibility to travel within Massachusetts.
