Overview

The Corporate Development Analyst will play a key supporting role in the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic growth initiatives—including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Development, this individual will conduct detailed market research, build financial models, and support due diligence and transaction execution.

 

This is a high-impact role that offers significant exposure to executive leadership and cross-functional teams, contributing directly to the company’s long-term strategy and growth.

 

This role will be based out of our Hampton, NH office, and will be expected to work our hybrid work schedule. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess potential investments, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Conduct valuation analyses, scenario planning, and return-on-investment assessments.
  • Support communications with investment banks, legal advisors, consultants, and potential partners.
  • Coordinate and support due diligence efforts, collaborating with legal, finance, operations, and external advisors.
  • Support the VP in preparing term sheets, investment memos, and board materials.
  • Maintain pipeline of M&A opportunities across various strategies and geographies.
  • Assist in identifying synergies and operational efficiencies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Support integration planning and performance tracking for closed transactions.
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating growth opportunities aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Prepare briefings, benchmarking studies, and market scans to inform strategy and deal flow.
  • Track and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging growth areas.
  • Work cross-functionally to gather insights and data needed to inform deal strategy.
  • Help create business cases and presentations for executive and board-level review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA a plus
  • 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, private equity, or corporate strategy
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-exposure environment
  • Experience in fitness, consumer, franchise, or hospitality industries is a plus
  • Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives
  • Excellent presentation and written and oral communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
  • Cooperative team player with an upbeat, positive, “can-do” attitude!
