We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Account Manager ā Rental & Staging (LED Solutions) to join our North American team. This role is focused on driving sales of indoor and outdoor LED display products designed for live events, exhibitions, touring, and staging applications.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Rental & Staging (R&S) market, with strong customer relationships across production companies, rental houses, and event technology providers. Success in this role requires both sales expertise and technical credibilityāincluding solid knowledge of LED display technology and processing systemsāto consult effectively within demanding, fast-paced live event environments.
Ā· Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for Rental & Staging LED solutions.
Ā· Build and maintain strong relationships with production companies, rental houses, and event technology providers across the R&S market.
Ā· Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, including demonstrations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
Ā· Collaborate closely with customers to understand project timelines, technical requirements, and inventory investment strategies.
Ā· Provide consultative expertise on LED technology, system design, and processing solutions for live events.
Ā· Represent Planar at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer demonstrations.
Ā· Maintain detailed pipeline management and accurate forecasting within CRM systems.
Ā· Partner with internal teams (engineering, product management, marketing) to deliver tailored solutions for customers.
Ā· Track competitive activity and market trends within the Rental & Staging segment.
Ā· 5+ years of sales experience in the Rental & Staging or live events industry.
Ā· Proven success in selling LED displays or related event technology solutions.
Ā· Established relationships with R&S production companies and rental houses.
Ā· Solid technical understanding of LED displays, including pixel pitch, resolution, brightness, and durability for touring applications.
Ā· Working knowledge of LED processing systems (e.g., Novastar, Brompton, Colorlight, or equivalent).
Ā· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ā· Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven live events environments.
Ā· Bachelorās degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
Ā· Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
Ā· Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Ā· Familiarity with expense management systems such as SAP Concur, Expensify, or Coupa.
Ā· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
