Our Pricing & Yield Management (PYM) team is a strategically focused, analytically driven group at the heart of Yahoo’s revenue operations for our premier Owned & Operated properties, including flagship destinations in News, Sports, and Finance. We partner closely with Sales, Finance, and Product to architect innovative pricing frameworks, deliver actionable insights, and implement strategies that position Yahoo as a market leader within an increasingly dynamic and competitive digital ecosystem.
Position Overview
As a Senior Pricing & Yield Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the pricing strategies that drive our Direct-sold revenue performance. This is a highly visible position where your insights will influence major revenue decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze revenue performance across Yahoo’s O&O Direct business, including sell-through rates, CPMs, and yield metrics.
Own pricing evaluations for custom deal requests, balancing client needs with business objectives.
Partner with Sales to assess non-standard pricing scenarios and develop solutions that protect and grow revenue.
Conduct deep-dive yield analyses to identify monetization opportunities and anticipate market shifts.
Perform competitive benchmarking and provide data-backed recommendations to maintain strategic pricing leadership.
Develop and maintain automated reporting dashboards leveraging tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms.
Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, influencing pricing and yield strategies across the organization.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in pricing, yield management, or revenue operations; digital advertising experience strongly preferred.
Advanced analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL and BI tools (Tableau, Looker).
Solid understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem (e.g., PMP, IO, Programmatic Guaranteed).
Experience leveraging AI-powered tools for data analysis, forecasting, or process automation to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex analyses and influencing decision-making across teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related discipline.

The compensation for this position ranges from $72,750.00 - $151,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
