Summary of Duties
As an employee working in the Self-Sufficiency Program (SSP), you will have an opportunity to provide resources and services to help people move out of poverty and toward whole well-being. Programs include food benefits, cash assistance, childcare assistance, medical, services for domestic violence survivors, resources for refugees and support for youth experiencing homelessness.
As a Human Services Supervisor 2 in White City you will:
Provide leadership and perform administrative functions to carry out objectives and goals of the department, and to implement the department's vision using local community resources and department staff and programs. The position works in partnership with the community to develop and create services to meet the needs of families and individuals unique to the community. The Branch Operation Manager is responsible for the daily function of the branch office including management of Human Services Specialist 1, Engagement Specialist, and Family Coach.
The position manages and directs branch self-sufficiency team, local programs and community collaboration efforts by assigning work procedures consistent with the department's policies, recommending revisions to department policies and procedures, establishing work schedules, and monitoring work performed by office staff to meet agreed upon goals, objectives and targets.
In collaboration with management partners, both public and private, the position helps design, implement, evaluate and modify programs and services legislated by federal, state and local governments.
Minimum Qualifications
Four Years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR
One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Working Conditions
Works in an integrated office environment where diverse programs, partners and staff create the work team. Daily phone and office contact with customers, including angry, upset, hostile or substance-affected individuals. High stress environment due to a high-volume workload with short timeframes. Irregular work hours with some evening and weekend work is expected (i.e. work a professional workweek). Required to be accessible for emergency contact 24/7, possibly carrying an electronic device for immediate access. Requires a valid driver's license or other acceptable method of transportation for routine travel. Most travel will be local, but may include travel across the state, often to Salem. May involve occasional overnight stay away from local area.
