Hospice Director of Sales

Optimal Care is a clinician-owned provider delivering physician services, home health, and hospice across the Midwest with an integrated, value-based care model. We are seeking an experienced hospice sales leader to drive regional growth, coach a field-based sales team, and expand access to compassionate end-of-life services while collaborating closely with clinical and operations teams.

Skills

  • Proven healthcare sales leadership, preferably in hospice or palliative care
  • Experience developing and executing territory and regional sales strategies
  • Strong CRM proficiency and sales forecasting/analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and coach field sales teams
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field work

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a geographically dispersed hospice sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies in partnership with the Chief Sales Officer.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard and coach sales representatives to maximize individual and team performance.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, manage forecasting, and produce regular reporting for leadership.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key referral sources, accounts, and community partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, clinical and operations to align initiatives and messaging.
  • Leverage CRM and sales tools to manage pipelines, track activity, and inform market strategies.
  • Engage in complex negotiations, resolve escalated customer issues, and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
