This position is for a Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions in Plantation, Florida. The candidate will be responsible for developing and testing enterprise level, Windows based applications.
These are applications written in C#/.NET4.6 on both the client & server side with WPF, WCF frameworks, with the addition of Java and SQL DB operations, and a roadmap directing it towards cloud & WEB services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Work in an Agile/Scrum team that analyzes, develops, designs, maintains, and tests software for the organization’s products and systems.
Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment
Finding, tracking, and repairing device software defects
Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency.
Preferred Skills:
Familiar with C#/.NET on Windows platforms/C++/Java
Experience in the following is a plus:
Database: SQL
UI: WPF
Data model: Entity Framework
System Communications: WCF, REST, OpenSSL
Dev Environment: Visual Studio 2017 or greater
Code Source Repository: Git (BitBucket)
Work Tracking: Jira (Atlassian)

Strong communication and problem solving skills.
Candidate's Graduation date must occur on or after December 2026.
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in one of the following degree programs: Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
