The Assistant Administrator plays a vital leadership role in managing the daily operations of the Wakefield Ambulatory Care practice, which provides adult, pediatric, and specialty services. This high-volume site supports over 30 providers and handles more than 27,000 patient visits annually, generating $7.3 million in operating revenue. The Assistant Administrator provides direct oversight to both clerical and clinical teams, ensures efficient workflow, and supports high-quality, patient-centered care. This position is essential in driving operational efficiency, monitoring budgets, resolving patient and staff issues, and implementing cost-effective strategies that support positive financial and clinical outcomes. As the practice transitions under the oversight of a Director managing two MMG locations, the Assistant Administrator serves as the on-site leader ensuring continuity, stability, and performance at the Wakefield location. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily administrative and clinical workflows to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. • Support development and execution of cost-effective initiatives that drive performance in quality, patient satisfaction, and revenue. • Monitor and manage site budgets, staffing, billing processes, and patient flow. • Implement and enforce policies and procedures that align with Montefiore standards and regulatory requirements. • Resolve operational issues including patient complaints, scheduling conflicts, and staffing gaps. • Serve as the liaison between providers, staff, and leadership to ensure communication and performance goals are met. • Leverage data to analyze trends and implement improvements across patient access, service delivery, and operational efficiency. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred). • Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience, preferably in ambulatory or outpatient care settings. • Strong working knowledge of ambulatory health operations, healthcare reimbursement, insurance coverage contracts, and compliance. • Proven ability to manage staff, develop budgets, and implement practice-wide initiatives. • Experience with patient relations and conflict resolution in a high-volume care environment. Shift: Monday to Friday 0830A - 0500P Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
