As a Product Manager for Open Court Reading, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing this impactful product to meet the evolving needs of students and educators.

The Product Manager for Open Court Reading will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and management of this well-established core and accelerated solutions ELA program. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that Open Court Reading remains competitive, effective, and aligned with market demands and educational standards. Your leadership will directly impact the program’s growth and help shape the future of literacy education.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Open Court Reading, ensuring alignment with market needs, customer feedback, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including educators, curriculum designers, sales teams, and technical teams, to define and prioritize product requirements and enhancements.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback sessions to continuously assess the product’s strengths, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage an iterative product roadmap from ideation through release, ensuring timely and successful delivery of market-driven features, content updates, and enhancements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to bring new product features to market, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with the existing curriculum, brand and legacy of efficacy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and product analytics to measure the success of product initiatives and inform future product development.
  • Advocate for the needs of educators and students, ensuring that Open Court Reading supports effective teaching and positive student outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed product documentation, including responses to RFPs, rubrics, product proposals, funding requests, training materials, and support resources.
  • Manage the P&L for the product line including oversight of the fiscal budget and monthly forecast, driving towards spending to plan and recognizing efficiencies in development.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams, ensuring they have a deep understanding of the product’s value proposition and features.

What You Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Product Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the education or EdTech sector. 
  • Strong understanding of K-6 literacy education, including familiarity with current educational standards and classroom practices. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive product development from concept through launch in a multi-year, iterative release schedule. 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Passion for education and a commitment to improving literacy outcomes for all students.

The pay range for this position is between $49,500-$115,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Click here to learn more about our benefit offerings.
