Automation Engineer III – Manufacturing Execution Systems
Location: Portsmouth, NH. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.
The Automation Engineer, Level 3 – Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is responsible for driving and leading activities such as requirements gathering, authoring, testing, implementation and use of MES.

What you will do
Safety Compliance: Perform all work safely and meet required training standards.
Manufacturing Support: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns, quality issues, and provide SME support for process automation systems.
Technical Expertise: Conduct analyses (PI data, CIP/SIP circuits, flow paths, code review) and assist with tech transfer of new processes.
Project Management: Plan and execute plant projects involving complex automation changes, process improvements, and capital projects.
Deviation & RCA Handling: Support investigations, review/approve deviations, participate in root cause analyses, and execute CAPA actions.
Documentation: Review/revise SOPs, functional specs, and work instructions; approve batch records, commissioning, and validation protocols.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in IPT/JPT meetings, audits, inspections, and represent MES in various forums.
What we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related discipline with 5-10 years of automation experience.
Effective communicate at all levels
Ability to secure relevant information and identify key issues and relationships from a base of information
Evaluate engineering problems and be able to devise cause and effect relationships and propose solutions
Adapt to changing conditions
Ability to prioritize deliverables
