Sales & Operations Planning Master Planner

Job Summary

The Planning Specialist supports end-to-end planning activities for demand, capacity, and supply within the node. This role partners closely with Master Planners and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate planning signals, forecast integration, and alignment across business functions. The Planning Specialist will contribute to the Global S&OP process, financial planning, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning

• Support Master Planners in developing an end-to-end view of demand lifecycles from long-term statistical forecast through pipeline opportunities and signed projects.

• Collaborate with BD, PMO, Finance, and Operations to maintain forecast alignment.

• Load forecasts into SAP and support ongoing forecast maintenance.

• Model unconstrained and constrained demand as part of the Global S&OP process.

• Centralize demand signals for Material and Capacity Planners to use for scenario simulations.

• Support monetization of demand for financial planning purposes.

Capacity Planning

• Support Master Planners in developing an end-to-end view of capacity management within the node.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between demand signals, operational capacity, and system planning inputs.

Supply Planning

• Support Master Planners with end-to-end material and supply planning activities.

• Collaborate with Site Material Planners, Procurement, and Finance to align on planning parameters.

• Model supply risks such as expiry, shortages, and surplus.

• Partner with Procurement and vendors to gather planning parameters impacting MRP (e.g., lead times, MOQs).

• Work closely with Material Planners to review purchase requisitions.

• Contribute supply planning inputs to the Global S&OP process to support demand constraint decisions.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform data mining, automation, and coding to enhance planning processes and system visibility.

• Cross-train and participate in training to ensure business continuity across planning functions.

• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
