Technical Product Owner, Software Development Expert

This fully remote role offers the opportunity to lead and manage complex software development projects while collaborating closely with clients and engineering teams. You will serve as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring high-quality solutions within the Microsoft stack and modern web frameworks. The position combines strategic planning, requirements gathering, and agile project management with hands-on technical expertise. You will work in a dynamic environment where innovation, problem-solving, and mentorship are highly valued. Accountabilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize project requirements to ensure clear objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to plan, track, and deliver custom web application projects.
  • Act as a technical product owner, translating business needs into actionable tasks and guiding development teams.
  • Maintain project progress using agile methodologies, managing backlogs, risks, and change throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Evaluate high-level solutions and engagement plans, ensuring deliverables align with client expectations.
  • Provide coaching and support to clients assuming Product Owner responsibilities and foster agile best practices within teams.
  • Participate in improving agile processes, software delivery practices, and technical standards.
  • Perform other duties as needed to guarantee successful project outcomes.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in complex custom software development projects.
  • Strong technical background with solid understanding of web applications, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and the Microsoft stack.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, including Scrum or SAFe, and experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, or Rally.
  • Proven ability to bridge technical and business requirements, with strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working remotely and independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
  • Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or planning sessions.
  • Nice-to-have: Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, LeSS), consulting experience, and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
