Senior Security Operations Analyst (Remote - US)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Security Operations Analyst in United States.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to operate at the forefront of cybersecurity, delivering expert-level support and analysis to protect organizations from evolving threats. The Senior Security Operations Analyst will handle advanced incident detection, response, and advisory tasks while mentoring team members and collaborating across technical and customer-facing teams. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this position requires both deep technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will help shape security processes, optimize operational efficiency, and provide critical insights to enhance security outcomes for clients. This role also offers the chance to contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and strategic initiatives that strengthen overall security posture.

Accountabilities

·         Lead incident detection and response activities, providing advanced analysis and remediation guidance.

·         Serve as a technical mentor and resource for other Security Operations team members.

·         Collaborate with customers to advise on complex security issues and product usage.

·         Perform log analysis, troubleshooting, and contextual investigation of security events.

·         Participate in on-call rotations for critical security incidents and contribute to coordinated response efforts.

·         Develop and maintain documentation, how-to guides, and internal knowledge resources.

·         Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency and team capability building.

·         Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects to enhance Security Operations functions.

·         5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity roles with progressive responsibility.

·         Advanced expertise in Windows endpoint security, vulnerability management, and SOC operations.

·         Proficiency with SIEM platforms, incident response, and security monitoring tools.

·         Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS).

·         Strong SQL skills for querying and data analysis.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to various audiences.

·         Experience with ticketing systems like Zendesk and familiarity with productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom).

·         Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and lead initiatives with minimal guidance.

·         Leadership and mentoring capabilities, along with a customer-focused mindset.

·         Preferred: Experience with Regex, GCP, AWS, Kibana, BigQuery, advanced analytics, and relevant cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, GCIH, GCFA).

·         Competitive salary range of $90,000 – $120,000 USD.
