In this role, you will lead the design and execution of value engineering strategies to demonstrate the impact of innovative SaaS solutions for clients. You will collaborate closely with sales, customer success, and product teams to craft compelling ROI models, business cases, and value-driven narratives that resonate with executives and stakeholders. Acting as a strategic advisor, you will guide organizations in adopting value-based selling methodologies while mentoring and coaching a growing team of value engineers. This position requires strong analytical expertise, excellent executive presence, and a passion for driving customer success and revenue growth.

Accountabilities:

As Lead Value Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping and scaling value engineering practices that support sales and customer success. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with client teams across sales, marketing, product, and customer success to design ROI models and value propositions tailored to business needs.
  • Leading the implementation of value-based selling methodologies, tools, and scalable processes.
  • Conducting discovery workshops and in-depth analysis to uncover challenges, quantify opportunities, and develop data-backed solutions.
  • Translating findings into tailored SaaS solutions and ROI business cases, effectively communicating value to executives and decision-makers.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, training internal teams on value selling practices and providing strategic deal support.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and guiding the value engineering team to achieve excellence in execution and professional growth.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for product enhancements and innovation.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned value engineering professional with deep SaaS industry knowledge and strong leadership skills. You should bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in value engineering, solution consulting, sales engineering, or related roles.
  • A proven track record of success in driving revenue growth through value-based selling and solution positioning.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative expertise, including ROI, TCO, and NPV financial modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent executive presence with the ability to engage C-level stakeholders and communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Strategic mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams, managing complex projects, and collaborating across global organizations.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, and revenue enablement tools (preferred).
