Lead Application Engineer, Zuora Billing and Revenue (Remote - US)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Application Engineer, Zuora Billing and Revenue in the United States.

This role focuses on leading the design, development, and optimization of Zuora Billing and Revenue solutions, specifically in Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) and revenue processes. You will work closely with finance, billing, and accounting teams to deliver scalable, automated, and innovative solutions that streamline global business operations. The position requires bridging technical and business requirements, conducting workshops, building prototypes, and ensuring accurate integration with upstream and downstream systems. You will mentor junior team members while shaping system architecture and supporting compliance and operational excellence. This is a hands-on, strategic role that impacts critical financial processes and provides opportunities to drive efficiency and automation across the organization.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead the design, configuration, development, and testing of Zuora Billing and Revenue solutions across AR, cash application, and revenue processes.

·         Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.

·         Build prototypes and demos to validate designs before development begins.

·         Collaborate with finance, billing, and revenue teams to ensure accurate implementation of processes and integrations with ERP and other upstream/downstream systems.

·         Define KPIs, dashboards, and reports to monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement.

·         Support production monitoring, issue resolution, financial close, reconciliations, and compliance (QAR, Audit, SOX).

·         Mentor and lead junior consultants, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.

·         Strong hands-on experience with Zuora Billing and Revenue modules, including product and customer master data management.

·         Proven ability to lead end-to-end implementations from requirements gathering to testing and deployment.

·         Solid understanding of billing, revenue, and invoice workflows, including integrations with usage systems, taxation, and invoice presentment.

·         Experience working with finance and accounting stakeholders in global organizations.

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

·         Familiarity with change management and Agile methodologies.

·         Zuora certifications preferred but not required.
