IT Support Specialist (Remote - US)

In this role, you will provide high-quality technical support to internal teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations and seamless resolution of technical issues. You will handle user inquiries via phone and chat, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and maintain system accounts and permissions. The position requires strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into understandable guidance, as well as a collaborative mindset to work closely with other IT team members. You will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, maintain secure systems, and support the organization’s technology infrastructure while helping employees work efficiently.

Accountabilities

As an IT Support Specialist, you will:

• Provide phone- and chat-based support to employees on IT-related issues.
• Escalate and coordinate level II support requests with senior IT team members.
• Document detailed ticket information to ensure smooth handoff or escalation.
• Create, configure, and manage user accounts, credentials, and permissions.
• Assist with application installations, email configuration, and smart device setups.
• Maintain system security and follow best practices to protect sensitive data and PII.
• Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Collaborate with team members to update process documentation and provide cross-training.
• Exercise discretion on sensitive or confidential internal matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 1–2 years of experience providing end-user IT support.
• Proficiency with Windows 10, macOS, and cloud platforms (Google Workspace, Office 365).
• Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware (Dell, HP, Lenovo, IBM).
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot user accounts, security groups, and software installations.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Preferred certifications: Google Admin, A+, CCENT, Network+, Security+.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
