Director, Pharmacy Finance (Remote - US)

In this leadership role, you will oversee the full scope of pharmacy finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling across a multi-site specialty pharmacy environment. You will provide strategic insights that directly inform executive decision-making, support client relationships, and guide investment planning. The role requires strong healthcare finance expertise—particularly in pharmacy finance—paired with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to drive performance improvements and optimize organizational impact.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end pharmacy finance functions, including financial models, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Oversee financial management for external clients, ensuring margin optimization, cost containment, pricing strategy guidance, and compliance with 340B regulations.
  • Represent the finance function in client meetings, delivering data-driven performance insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze large datasets to create robust financial models and forecasts that support long-term planning and business cases for executive leadership.
  • Monitor industry trends, reimbursement models, policy changes, and drug pipeline developments to inform financial strategies.
  • Drive financial performance and planning across multiple health systems, aligning with corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to assess the financial impact of new initiatives and enhance overall performance.
  • Lead the enhancement of FP&A systems, reporting processes, and analytics tools to improve accuracy and scalability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a pharmacy finance leadership role within healthcare.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning across multi-site healthcare operations.
  • Strong track record of developing and presenting business cases and investment recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and large dataset analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare revenue cycles, reimbursement models, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in pharmacy finance and familiarity with 340B strategies strongly preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
