This role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for engineering teams supporting a national portfolio of renewable energy projects. You will manage multiple projects from design through construction and ongoing operations, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with organizational goals. The position involves mentoring junior engineers, optimizing workflows, and implementing process improvements. You will collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, asset management, and senior management to drive innovation, predictive modeling, and AI-driven performance monitoring. The role is suited for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment and seeks to make a measurable impact on sustainable energy development.

• Accountabilities
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on design, performance, and maintenance activities across all project phases.
• Prioritize and manage key initiatives on 100+ projects at various stages, from development through acquisition and operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of project documentation, dashboards, and performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the creation, accuracy, and enhancement of design databases, tools, processes, and deliverables.
• Manage technological advancements, evaluate trade partners, and establish strategic alliances to optimize project outcomes.
• Collaborate with procurement, asset management, and department heads to drive cost/benefit analyses, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
• Implement predictive modeling, AI, and cloud computing solutions to enhance energy performance and system monitoring.
• Track and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), engineering cycle times, and overall project quality.
• Provide feedback to senior management, contributing to growth strategies and technical improvement initiatives.

• Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive engineering leadership experience, preferably in renewable energy.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously, with demonstrated technical management and oversight.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and conflict management skills; ability to manage AHJ relationships and contractor negotiations.
• Track record in process development, implementation, change management, and continuous improvement.
• Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovative solutions and process optimization.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills with executive presence.
• Self-motivated, highly intelligent, and collaborative, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Location flexibility: New York or remote, with hybrid or in-person collaboration as needed.
