Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for the commerce platform.
• Plan, forecast, and implement architectural improvements to enhance platform performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features that meet both technical and business requirements.
• Ensure seamless customer experiences by prioritizing security, robustness, and high availability in all services.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering technical growth and contributing to the overall success of the engineering team.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain continuous service operation and promptly respond to incidents.
• Adapt to evolving technical challenges and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience building robust, scalable applications.
• Proven track record of delivering projects from concept to implementation with measurable results.
• Strong experience in backend development, with a deep understanding of distributed systems and web applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to balance technical and business trade-offs.
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers in professional development.
• Familiarity with technologies such as MySQL, Python, Go, Java, or Rust is preferred.
• Contributions to open source projects or technical communities are a plus.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.

• Competitive salary:
• US Zone 2: $177,500 — $240,100 USD
• US Zone 3: $157,800 — $213,400 USD
