Robotics Software Engineer, Sentry Tower
Skills
- Proficiency across the robotics software stack from sensors to actuation
- 4+ years experience with Rust or C++
- Networking and hardware interfacing skills (CAN, Ethernet) and diagnostic tooling (Wireshark, CANoe)
- Experience designing high-volume data processing and sensor data analysis systems
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for secure sensor data transmission
- Experience with simulation/SIL or software-in-the-loop testing
- Service ownership and production software practices (testing, CI, code reviews)
Responsibilities
- Own design, implementation, testing, and rollout of software features for Sentry Tower systems
- Design and integrate sensors and interfaces to support both human operators and autonomous planning agents
- Develop and maintain motion control and actuation systems (pan-tilt, autofocus, etc.)
- Build and maintain simulation and software-in-the-loop tools for system validation
- Ensure service ownership: reliability, diagnostics, and alignment with customer objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, field operators, and other engineering groups
- Deliver well-documented, tested pull requests and participate in code reviews
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent experience
- Strong engineering fundamentals from industry experience or academic training
