- Deep AWS and cloud-native infrastructure expertise

- Familiarity with SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance and audit processes
- Strong verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration
- Threat modeling and incident response experience
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of security engineers, owning delivery velocity, quality, hiring, retention, and professional growth.
- Define and enforce security policies, technical guardrails, and policy-as-code in collaboration with Engineering and Compliance.
- Design, implement, and launch capabilities to improve cloud and application security for machine learning and AI workloads.
- Operate and tune security tooling (Wiz, Snyk, GuardDuty, AWS Config) and observability (CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs).
- Automate evidence collection and compliance workflows to support SOC 2 and HIPAA audits.
- Participate in architecture reviews, threat modeling, incident response, and secure code practices.
- Address complex security questionnaires for hospitals and enterprise customers.
- Support production platform reliability and security monitoring across cloud and containerized workloads.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus
