- Fluency in Irish (Gaeilge) — written and spoken
- Professional experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, or editing
- Experience with linguistic annotation, data labeling, or training/coaching (preferred)
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to identify nuanced grammatical and cultural issues
- Comfort with digital tools and basic data workflows
Responsibilities
- Review and annotate Irish-language text and AI outputs for grammar, syntax, semantics, style, and cultural appropriateness
- Assess AI-generated Irish content for accuracy and fluency and document error patterns
- Create and refine linguistic guidelines, annotation schemas, and evaluation rubrics
- Provide feedback on prompts, test cases, and model behavior to engineering and product teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize issues and improve dataset quality
- Perform quality assurance checks on labeled data and contribute to iterative dataset improvements
- Deliver clear reports and examples illustrating linguistic issues and proposed corrections
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, translation, Irish studies, education, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
- Formal coursework or certifications in linguistics, translation, or language teaching preferred but not required
