- Fluency in Kyrgyz (written and spoken)
- Professional experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, or editing
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in annotation
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort using annotation tools and basic web-based platforms
- Familiarity with linguistic concepts (syntax, morphology, semantics) and cultural context
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines as a contractor
Responsibilities
- Review and annotate Kyrgyz text for training datasets with high accuracy and consistency
- Evaluate AI-generated Kyrgyz outputs for grammar, semantics, style, fluency, and cultural appropriateness
- Identify, document, and report recurring error patterns and edge cases
- Contribute to prompt design, evaluation methods, and linguistic annotation guidelines
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and linguists to improve model performance
- Perform quality assurance on annotated data and help maintain annotation standards
- Provide constructive feedback and examples to help guide model corrections
Education
- BA in Linguistics, Translation, Language Studies, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Relevant professional certifications or coursework in linguistics, translation, or language technology are a plus
