Manager Hyperbaric Wound Care

Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and ensuring that quality patient care is provided across multiple inpatient and outpatient locations. This includes developing, managing, and achieving budgetary and financial objectives, quality improvement initiatives, program service development, and personnel management and development for all assigned locations. The position works closely with shared service leaders, local caresite administration, providers and other members of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest value specialty care.

This is a local leadership position for wound, skin, ostomy, and hyperbaric shared service.

Typical Distribution of Job Duties: 50% Operational, 30% Quality Improvement, 20% Strategic



Essential Functions

  • Coordinate performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives and regulatory standards (Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DOPL, NFPA, ASME, PVHO, and other accrediting bodies).
  • Collaborate with provider leadership to develop and implement department strategies aligned with Enterprise, Region, Caresite, and Shared Services.
  • Lead goal achievement and implement action plans to improve performance.
  • Ensure cost-effective resource use and meet financial performance goals.
  • Partner with Shared Services and Caresite leadership to develop and submit operating and capital budgets.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary committees across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of efficient, safe, effective, and compassionate care; hold caregivers accountable using patient satisfaction metrics and benchmarks.
  • Serve as liaison between department providers and medical group leadership.
  • Manage human resources: hiring, performance reviews, staff development, retention, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Ensure documentation and maintenance of caregiver competency and training.
  • Communicate effectively through rounding, huddles, staff meetings, and other channels.
  • Resolve customer service concerns promptly.
  • Maintain facility and ensure equipment is functioning properly.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience
  • Experience in budget management
  • Ability to build strong team dynamics in customer-focused environments

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical field or healthcare administration (accredited institution)
  • Ability to work in a compressed gas environment
  • Current clinical license or compact license (if applicable)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if applicable)
  • Experience in wound care, ostomy, and hyperbaric medicine

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read information, labels, and monitors; assess patient needs.
  • Frequent verbal communication with providers, patients, and visitors; respond quickly and accurately in emergencies.
  • Manual dexterity for handling complex equipment; frequent computer use for documentation and information access.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$44.33 - $68.42
