Head of Demand Generation

HockeyStack is an Applied AI company on a mission to automate sales, marketing, and customer success for B2B companies. We build the most complete and accurate picture of the B2B buyer by integrating with every tool your team uses, partnering with third-party data providers, and deploying custom AI research agents. We use this data to power applications that automate high-value, high-complexity workflows across the go-to-market and revenue teams. Our core products include:

  • Marketing Intelligence – instantly answers questions like “What led to that sudden drop in pipeline?”

  • Account Intelligence – surfaces next-best actions to help reps move target accounts toward conversion

Since launching in January 2023, we’ve come through Y Combinator, raised a $20M Series A led by Bessemer. We’re growing 3× year-over-year, have hit multimillion ARR, and process over 60 TB of GTM data monthly. Based at our San Francisco HQ, we operate fully in-person, move fast and hire people who are ready to win.

🚀 Your Mission

As Head of Demand Generation, you’ll own the strategy and execution of multi-channel campaigns that fuel HockeyStack’s pipeline and revenue growth. This is a pivotal role with a direct line to our growth targets. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our marketing, sales, and customer success teams to build integrated programs that span the entire customer lifecycle — from first touch to expansion. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-urgency startup environment, can operate across channels, and knows how to turn strategy into measurable impact. You’ll have the autonomy to experiment, the resources to execute, and the mandate to win.

🔧 What You’ll Do

  • Architect and lead integrated demand generation programs across paid, organic, events, partnerships, and outbound channels to drive pipeline and revenue growth.

  • Manage campaign strategy, execution, and measurement end-to-end — from creative brief to reporting, iterating quickly based on data-driven insights.

  • Collaborate with sales (BDR → AE) and CS teams to ensure alignment on messaging, targeting, and lifecycle coverage from acquisition to expansion.

  • Leverage HockeyStack’s own platform to optimize channel mix, budget allocation, and campaign performance.

  • Oversee event strategy — including CMO dinners, major industry conferences, virtual webinars, and partner activations — that generate high-quality leads and relationships.

  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure digital/SEO efforts align with overall campaign objectives.

  • Own the demand generation budget, forecasting, and ROI tracking, reporting progress to leadership and the company.

  • Champion operational excellence in HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other marketing tools to ensure campaigns launch flawlessly and on schedule.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing demand generation function and team as we scale.

  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to jump into tools like HubSpot, LinkedIn Live, Google Ads, and event platforms.

  • Experience partnering closely with sales and CS to build aligned, revenue-driving campaigns.

  • Skilled at prioritizing and making an impact in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.

  • Prior Director-level or leadership experience in demand generation at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.

As part of our San Francisco, California-based team, the salary range for this role is $180,000– $240,000 USD base pay annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
